15 Top Things To Do At Planet Hollywood Las Vegas

Last Updated:

Of all the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, we think Planet Hollywood stands leagues above all else when it comes to budget-friendly things to do on a resort property. After all, it’s connected to a 475,000 square-foot shopping space called Miracle Mile Shops which contains more than 170 stores, as well as tons of affordable restaurants and bars.

Since Las Vegas is practically our second home, we’ve explored Planet Hollywood more times than we can count. In fact, this was my hotel of choice when I was in my early 20s! The hotel was equally as hip and youthful as it was affordable — there was a lot to love about PH.

If you’re visiting Las Vegas for the first time or don’t plan on returning to Vegas over and over again, you should carve out a couple of hours to explore the hotel and its large number of dining/drinking establishments.

For starters, you absolutely need to grab yourself a Fat Tuesday at the location inside Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops — it’s the most iconic location on the entire Strip! If you’re hankering for a sandwich that’s anything but basic, Earl of Sandwich is your jam. Craving a burger fit for a king (or a famous chef, in this case)? Hit up Gordon Ramsay Burger.

Want to catch a larger-than-life magic show while you’re in town? PH is home to Criss Angel’s MINDFREAK.

Even considering what I listed above — we’ve barely just scratched the surface! Like I said, there’s a lot to look forward to at this hip and approachable hotel. Here are our top recommended things to do at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas for the full experience.

Things To Do Inside Planet Hollywood

Aside from the 2,500 hotel rooms spread across its 37 floors, Planet Hollywood is home to a massive gaming space and a lot of other things you could do.

Criss Angel MINDFREAK

Prepare to be captivated by the unparalleled magic mastery of the legendary superstar magician, Criss Angel. With over two decades of dominating the world of magic, Criss Angel presents MINDFREAK, a spectacle that promises to overload your senses in what the Huffington Post calls “the magic event of a lifetime”.

He’s bringing some of his biggest illusions to the stage, backed by pyrotechnics, lighting, video, live music, and an interactive theater lobby installation too!

Dine at Cafe Hollywood

If you’re a fan of Hollywood, you will seriously enjoy this eatery. Cafe Hollywood is a celebration of all things Hollywood, featuring a multimedia celebration of iconic Planet Hollywood moments throughout its 30-year history.

The atmosphere is as lively as the menu, and it doesn’t hurt that the food here is great too! You’ll find a menu consisting of all-day breakfast, classic comfort food, gourmet twists on diner favorites, and even late-night bites.

Grab cocktails at Glass Bar

For a cocktail experience that oozes glitz and glamour, head to Glass Bar. The edgy ombre lighting, combined with ebony-stained wood and opulent brass accents, sets the stage for a luxurious lounge experience.

As you sip on the signature Fruit & Pebble cocktail, crafted with Bacardi Superior rum and zesty lime juice, you’ll be surrounded by thousands of shimmering crystal prisms, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that feels like a scene straight out of Hollywood.

This bar is a go-to spot for hotel guests looking to enjoy pre or post-show cocktails, so you’ll find it busiest during the hours before and after dinner time.

Try Earl of Sandwich

Earl of Sandwich isn’t your average sandwich joint—it’s a sandwich empire! If you’ve had Earl of Sandwich before, you can skip this one. Bu if you haven’t, you need to at least try it once in Vegas.

With mouthwatering creations made from top-quality ingredients and served on freshly baked bread, each bite is a flavor-packed adventure. It’s no wonder this place has a cult following—it’s simply sandwich perfection.

Gordon Ramsay Burger

Prepare your taste buds for a burger experience like no other at Gordon Ramsay Burger. As the brainchild of the legendary Hell’s Kitchen chef himself, these burgers are culinary masterpieces. Whether you go for a classic beef patty or opt for something more adventurous like the Hell’s Kitchen Burger (asadero cheese, roasted jalapeños, avocado, roasted tomatoes, jalapeño aïoli), you’re in for a treat.

These babies are considered gourmet burgers, so expect each burger to cost anywhere from $25-30!

Walk the Strip up to Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino

Despite the walk being a 13-minute straight shot, you probably won’t just be walking straight there. Along the way, you’ll pass by iconic hotels like The Cosmo, Bellagio, Paris Las Vegas, and Horseshoe Las Vegas. All of these resorts are worth popping into and exploring.

Of course, you can walk even further than Caesars Palace for a full day of exploration of the Strip, but this route alone will take you at least 2-3 hours if you stop into all the hotels you pass along the way.

It’s a great filler activity to fit into your day between lunch and dinner (or between dinner and your nighttime festivities).

Hang out by the pool

Planet Hollywood Pool

Rooftop pools, Las Vegas Strip views – what more could you really ask for? Planet Hollywood features the ultimate Las Vegas poolside social retreat. You could even bring your own pool floats to lounge on! Capture your incredible Vegas Instagram moment in a cabana or as you hang ten on the Strip’s only professional free-standing wave, the FlowRider.

And if you happen to show up on a day when a DJ is spinning up some tunes, the pool becomes an electrifying party! Be sure to check their events calendar if you plan on hanging by the pool during your visit.

PRO TIP: Las Vegas pool season typically runs from March to October.

Get a massage or have a spa day

Spend some quality “me time” at the 32,000 square-foot Reflections spa featuring 35 treatment rooms, including six couple’s rooms. Like many Las Vegas spas on the Strip, Reflections offers a variety of custom therapeutic services and natural products to revitalize the mind and body.

You can also enjoy the use of the spa facilities with the purchase of any spa treatment or by purchasing a spa day pass. Spa amenities include a steam room, sauna, hot tub, and relaxation lounge with a variety of healthy snacks and beverages.

HIT THE GYM: If you’re a hotel guest, your resort fee includes complimentary access to PH’s 1,800 sq. ft. fitness center, equipped with cardio machines, strength equipment, and free weights.

Things To Do Inside Miracle Mile Shops

Attached to Planet Hollywood are the MM Shops, a massive shopping space that is home to more than 150 stores, as well as tons of restaurants and bars. Here are some of the best things to do within Miracle Mile:

Oh, and don’t forget to swing by Sephora for all your beauty needs—because you’ve gotta look fierce while you’re tearing up the Vegas strip, right?

The famous FLIGHTS restaurant has landed at Miracle Mile Shops and it’s ready to take your taste buds on the trip of a lifetime. FLIGHTS is best known for serving everything in threes, including brunch, lunch, dinner, cocktails and dessert.

Any given time of the day, you’ll be able to get 3-item flights of margaritas, mules, beers, old fashioned’s, mojitos, mimosas, bloody mary’s, martinis, frozen daquiris, and wines for $15-24 per flight, which is a pretty good deal as it is. But their Happy Hour is even more special.

Happy Hour is technically all day long, but depending on the hour, something new will be specially priced at 3 for $15.

Come at 3 pm and you’ll find the Margarita Rocks Flights at happy hour pricing at 3 for $15. Come at 8 pm and you’ll find the Martini Flights at happy hour pricing! No matter what time you come, some sort of alcohol will be deeply discounted for you.

Drink a Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday Drinks

Getting a Fat Tuesday in Vegas is like a rite of passage into the wild world of Sin City. At some point, you need to experience a little stroll down the Strip with a massive, colorful frozen drink in hand.

They have a Fat Tuesday here, the absolute best spot to grab yourself a cheap frozen drink right before taking a stroll on the Las Vegas Strip. If you want to feel a bit more than tipsy, they offer you the option to add a shot(s) to your daiquiris for an extra dollar a shot. Cheap drunkenness, gotta love it!

Everyone’s drink of choice at Fat Tuesday differs depending on who you ask, but our group loves to order the Big Stick flavor off their secret menu, which tastes like a Big Stick ice pop but with alcohol!

PRO TIP: If the flavors here don’t excite you, you could also check out Purple Zebra inside Planet Hollywood, a funky self-serve daiquiri bar where you can mix and match from 20 different flavors.

Fill up on gourmet nachos at Nacho Daddy

If nachos, tacos, and late-night margs are what you’re after, Nacho Daddy (at Miracle Mile Shops) is a superb spot to dine at. Open for business until 2 AM, Nacho Daddy invites diners to indulge in the most gourmet Tex-Mex-style nachos they’ve ever tasted!

The portion sizes are huge (so maybe think about sharing a plate of nachos with 1-2 others). The menu has a lot of options, but if you have no idea where to start, just get the surf and turf nachos and thank me later.

If dining on the Strip is not your vibe, there are also locations in downtown Las Vegas and Summerlin. They’re also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner too, so feel free to pop in anytime from the first to the fourth meal.

Blondies Sports Bar and Grill

Blondies Sports Bar Las Vegas

Blondies Sports Bar and Grill is a sports bar on the Strip that features an incredible deal on drinks. Their Happy Hour is the stuff of legends. If you’re in the mood for an all-you-can-drink kind of afternoon, Blondies has your back with an offer that’s almost too good to be true.

From Monday through Friday, they have a happy hour where you can indulge in all-you-can-drink wells and domestic drafts for just about $20.

Think about it – you can spend the same amount as you would on ONE fancy cocktail at a swanky Las Vegas bar but, instead, you get to enjoy three hours of as many drinks as your belly desires!

And if you’re into sports (hockey, basketball, or football), this is the perfect spot to catch the next big game. With its countless big-screen TVs and extensive menu of pub grub favorites, Blondies is the perfect spot to catch all the action while enjoying a cold beer or cocktail.

Cabo Wabo Cantina

Cabo Wabo Cantina Las Vegas

Cabo Wabo Cantina brings the tastes (and rowdiness) of Cabo, Mexico to Las Vegas with its laid-back, young, and energetic restaurant atmosphere. Whether you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine or just looking to sip on some margaritas while people-watching on the Strip, this lively cantina has you covered.

Offering a variety of experiences, guests can dine and drink in the vibrant main dining room, the lively and energetic bar, or on the Las Vegas Strip-side patio.

On a nice and warm day, try to snag seats in the outdoor patio overlooking the Strip! It’s the perfect spot to kick back and soak up the Vegas vibes. Views from the patio at Cabo Wabo Cantina offer incredible experiences, showcasing the Bellagio Fountain and the Eiffel Tower from the Paris Hotel.

All-you-can-eat at Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille

Indulge your carnivorous cravings at Pampas Churrascaria Brazilian Grille, where endless skewers of succulent meats are carved tableside until you say stop. This all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse takes the dining experience to the next level with its rodizio-style service and expansive salad bar featuring a variety of fresh salads, cheeses, and hot dishes.

If a Brazilian steakhouse experience sounds like a fun activity to work into your Las Vegas itinerary, be sure to check out their latest specials and make a reservation.
