21 Fun Places To Go For Your Birthday In Las Vegas

Last Updated:

After partying my 20s off in Vegas, I’m proud to say I know a thing or two about how to celebrate a birthday in Las Vegas!

In total, I’m pretty sure I’ve celebrated my 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, etc. birthdays in Sin City. Who could blame me, I was totally obsessed with how fun and entertaining the city was!

While I haven’t thrown myself a birthday trip to Vegas in a good minute, I have gone there more times than I can count since I’ve turned 30. Over the years, I’ve discovered so many new things to do in Las Vegas — many of which are perfect as birthday activities.

It seems like every month, some new attraction, show, or trendy restaurant pops up to grace the entertainment scene here. So yeah, the birthday entertainment options are nearly endless.

Of course, there’s the classic route you could take by having dinner and hitting up a premium nightclub after. Or, you could get creative and transport yourself into the trippy psychadelic world of Omega Mart. And if that’s not exciting enough, you could always throw on fur coats and party it up in a bar completely made out of ice.

And that’s just the beginning! Discover all the cool places you could go for your birthday in Las Vegas below.

XS, Marquee, Zouk, or OMNIA

Clubbing is probably the #1 thing people do when celebrating their bdays in Las Vegas!

After your birthday dinner, it’s time to hit the clubs on the Strip! Round out your special day with a night of dancing and music at Las Vegas clubs like XS at EncoreZouk at Resorts WorldOMNIA at Caesars Palace, or Marquee at The Cosmopolitan.

If it’s 4 am and you find the clubs closing but you’re not yet ready to call it a night, head to Drai’s After Hours at The Cromwell for even more late-night (or rather early morning) partying.

Kamu Ultra Lounge

KAMU Ultra Karaoke located inside The Venetian Las Vegas stands out as the only VIP party lounge on the Strip, boasting 40 uniquely themed private karaoke rooms tailored for group parties who want to karaoke the night away.

The private suites are so much fun — you may end up with the galaxy-themed room or even a Dragonball suite. And to round out your experience and make it Vegas-style, you can opt for bottle service (or order drinks separately) and order food there too.

You can also level up the birthday festivities with balloons, flowers, and cake decorations, which the Kamu team will gladly set up if reserved at least two days in advance.

Mayfair Supper Club

If a fancy and swanky dinner experience is what you’re after on your special day, Mayfair Supper Club should be at the top of your list.

The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio is a unique and theatrical dining experience inspired by top supper clubs around the world, promising a return to the glamorous eras of Las Vegas and old New York.

Located against the backdrop of the iconic Fountains of Bellagio, this trendy yet nostalgically-themed restaurant offers a feast for the senses with impeccable food presentations, drink selections, and endless entertainment complete with a live band, dancers, and vocalists.

If you’re here on Fridays and Saturdays, the Mayfair After Dark experience (from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM) is a must. Sundays are when they have their swanky jazz dinner!

minus5 Ice Bar

Beat the heat at minus5 Ice Bar, a winter wonderland of 100 tons of custom-carved ice, complete with drinking glasses, walls, seats, and sculptures made of ice. This is the one place where your beer actually gets colder as you drink it!

Ice Bar is a ton of fun when it comes to photos because they give you fur coats to stay warm while you’re in the bar. These fur coats are going to be perfect for your selfies and your commemorative birthday IG post.

There are locations at The LINQ, The Venetian, and Mandalay Bay.

The Neon Museum

If you ever wondered where all the old Vegas signs have disappeared off to over the years, check out the Neon Museum, where you’ll find more than 200 of them gathered.

The Neon Boneyard is the main outdoor exhibition area where you can find a collection of over 200 vintage neon signs including those from old casinos, motels, and businesses.

It’s such a picturesque spot for photos that ooze Old Vegas vibes! You can get lots of cute bday photos here with retro lit-up signage in the background.

The Spa at Encore

If you’re looking to get pampered, and we mean really pampered, on your birthday, head to The Spa at Encore. This is a Forbes Five-Star Award-winning spa, after all.

The Spa at Encore specializes in techniques from around the world to create the ultimate relaxation experience. The 61,000-square-foot facility features 37 treatment rooms, 14 naturally-lit garden suites, and four oversized couples’ suites.

For a truly unforgettable treatment, opt for the “Journey to Euphoria” package, where not one, but two therapists perform a synchronized massage with aromatic oils and warm stones to relax the muscles. The treatment concludes with exfoliation and hydration.

Watch one of the many shows in Las Vegas

Awakening

Las Vegas has a world-class theater scene. From burlesque to magic, Cirque de Soleil to comedy, there is a show for every type of person and every sort of budget. And the best part is, there’s a show happening every single night in Vegas.

A few shows that we think are perfect for a birthday celebration include:

Awakening – The Wynn’s brand-new spectacular production features fantastical creatures, dazzling visuals, a compelling narrative, and a touch of lighthearted comedy.

“O” at Bellagio: Another mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil show, “O” combines water, acrobatics, and theatrical performances to create a unique and romantic experience.

And if you want to get crazy, there are some pretty hilarious and wild tease shows like MAGIC MIKE LIVEThe ChippendalesX Burlesqueand FANTASY. One that’s great for both guys and gals is Absinthe! All are perfect for celebrating with a large group of friends.

You can browse the whole selection of Las Vegas shows here.

The Sphere

If you’ve driven on the highways of Las Vegas (or have been on social media at all), chances are you’ve seen The Sphere. The Sphere Experience is a two-part multi-sensory experience lasting approximately two hours. In all honesty, it’s two hours of immersive amazement.

First, you’ll get to explore The Atrium. There’s a 360-degree avatar capture, a mesmerizing 50-foot holographic installation, and a few other cool tech features.

Then, brace yourself for an immersive cinematic experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen with Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Postcard from Earth.’ This specially commissioned film is a sci-fi portrait of our planet, leveraging Sphere’s cutting-edge technologies to transport you to new worlds without ever leaving your seat.

Omega Mart at AREA15

Meow Wolf Omega Mart Las Vegas

AREA15 has got to be one of the coolest additions to Las Vegas, like ever.

This 200,000-square-foot immersive art collective is buzzing with all things creative and imaginative. Throw an ax or two, play games at Emporium arcade bar, wander through a ‘supermarket’ that makes you question reality, take in high-tech / colorful art installations, or explore one of the many virtual reality experiences.

If you find yourself experiencing sensory overload like we did and are having trouble choosing what to do, we recommend you start with Omega Mart by Meow Wolf. You can expect to spend 3 to 5 hours inside this attraction alone!

You’ll be entering a glitchy, interdimensional grocery store filled with mind-bending products, mysterious portals, and trippy landscapes that come together to make up a really cool interactive art installation.

Throw a pizza party at Happy Camper

If you ask us, there’s no better combination of pizza, booze, and disco-ball vibes than what you’ll get at Happy Camper.

At this new restaurant/party space near Fashion Show Mall, you’ll find the most fun-looking dining room ever — a dining room filled with campers, disco balls, fire pits, and all the neon lights you could imagine.

Happy Camper offers a variety of spaces you could reserve for your birthday celebration. You could snag seats by the fire pits, or for a slightly larger group, reserve the Fire Pit Lounge all for yourself (complete with its own set of funky disco balls)! Cabanas provide a quintessential Vegas experience for up to 12, while The Disco Ball offers an intimate setting for smaller groups of up to 6 to enjoy drinks and music.

With options accommodating up to 200 people (including the full buyout of the restaurant for people who want to do it REAL big), Happy Camper will certainly make a memorable birthday bash setting!

LIFTOFF at AREA15

If Strip views from behind a glass window are simply not enough for you, we want to invite you to hop on LIFTOFF at AREA15.

LIFTOFF is a panoramic ride and aerial adventure inspired by aeronauts. Toast to your birthday with specialty libations at the LIFTOFF Lounge before ascending 130 feet high in an open-air balloon ride! You best believe that you’re going to get 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip and beyond.

You can even drink on the ride! Don’t worry, your drinks won’t fly all over the place — this is a slow-moving observation tower-type ride. The whole journey takes about seven minutes.

The High Roller

Make your birthday extra memorable by soaking in the sky-high views of the Las Vegas Strip with your friends. One of the best spots to get sky-high viewpoints of the Las Vegas Strip is on the High Roller.

The High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ, one of the world’s tallest wheels, provides unforgettable 360-degree views of the city. They offer an open bar package that allows you to enjoy unlimited drinks for the full 30-minute ride.

The STRAT Tower

If incorporating views into your birthday itinerary is not enough excitement for you, another great option is to head to the observation tower at The STRAT. The SkyPod here is what makes it so much fun. You can ride some really crazy, adrenaline-pumping rides while getting those epic Las Vegas views!

Big Shot shoots you 160 feet into the air at 45 mph, while X-Scream teeter-totters you over the Tower’s edge from a dizzying height of 866 feet.

Ellis Island Casino

Head to Ellis Island Casino on your birthday for some Free Play perks! Enjoy complimentary Free Play when you sign up for the Passport Players Club membership. It’s usually $10 that will be loaded onto your club card.

Additionally, if you play 200 Base Points, you can indulge in their free Famous Steak special. Remember, to qualify for the steak special, ensure that you sign up for the Players Club and play the 200 Base Points on the same day.

Be aware that some machines may require a $1 activation for the free play offer, a common practice at many other hotels that offer free play specials (including Ellis Island, MGM Resorts, etc.).

On top of the Free Play, they have tons of food and drink specials there so you can celebrate without incurring all the expenses that you would if you were at another hotel on the Strip!

Tea Lounge at Waldorf Astoria

Want to slow down all that Las Vegas debauchery with a fancy little tea party? After you’ve had a bit of fun exploring Las Vegas, you can plan for an afternoon high tea experience at the Tea Lounge at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.

Enjoy high-quality tea infusions alongside tasty scones and finger sandwiches, all while taking in sweeping views of the Strip from the 23rd floor.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Ever wanted to feel what it feels like to put the pedal to the metal in a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, or Corvette race car? Several companies in Las Vegas let you turn your racing dreams into reality by offering supercar driving experiences.

Yes, you can actually hop inside racecars and other high-end vehicles and drive them around the track!

Exotics Racing and Dream Racing are both well-known companies that provide unbeatable supercar driving experiences. The experiences include classroom instruction, practice laps, and the opportunity to push the limits on the track.

If you love sports, this one’s for you. Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino is a cutting-edge, multi-level pool amphitheater situated at the Circa Resort & Casino. This is the place you’ll wanna go to if your birthday coincides with a sporting event you want to catch on TV!

Stadium Swim has a stadium-style seating design with a massive high-definition screen, offering an immersive poolside viewing experience for sports events, concerts, and more. The venue features six temperature-controlled pools, two swim-up bars, and a massive 143-foot-long screen, making it the largest pool screen in the world.

The cool thing about Stadium Swim is that you don’t need to be a hotel guest to attend. They sell general admission tickets (entry for one person) or you could even reserve daybeds and cabanas for you and the whole crew for the whole day (9:00 am-7:00 pm).

If you’re staying at Circa, you have free access to Stadium Swim included in your room rate.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club

For a darn good birthday full of memorable laughs, we’d recommend going to a comedy show while you’re in Vegas!

In Vegas, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club stands as a comedy night staple, inviting some of the best comics to its stages since it first arrived on the Las Vegas Strip. Cap off the evening by having a festive dinner with drinks at one of the many restaurants at the LINQ Hotel & Promenade, conveniently next to the club.

Three other popular comedy club venues in Vegas are The Comedy Cellar at Rio, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club at MGM Grand, and LA Comedy Club at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod.

All of these comedy clubs have featured some of the biggest names in comedy (like Aziz Ansari and Tiffany Haddish), so you may very well come across a special guest that you’ve seen on TV performing at these clubs!

If golfing with your guys (or gals) is your idea of a perfect afternoon out in Vegas, then Topgolf can be a great place to celebrate your birthday in Vegas.

Topgolf features a high-tech driving range with interactive games that cater to all skill levels. Using their complimentary clubs or your own, you can take aim at the giant outfield targets and their high-tech balls will score themselves.

Beyond golfing, Topgolf often has live entertainment, music, and other activities perfect for lounging around or for socializing. There’s a sports bar and a restaurant here too, so you can spend hours on end here without needing to leave to find food or drinks.

This Topgolf has private event spaces that can be reserved for special occasions, allowing you to throw a more personalized and private celebration.

It’ll be a truly relaxing and well-deserved 2-hour treat!
