Durango Casino & Resort is the newest luxury destination in Southwest Las Vegas. Conveniently located along the I-215, Durango Casino & Resort offers tourists and locals alike a sophisticated retreat complete with personalized hospitality for which Station Casinos is known.

Durango’s guest rooms and suites are a welcome retreat enveloped in warm neutral tones, sophisticated textures, and premium finishes. Features include floor-to-ceiling windows, spa-like bathrooms with top-of-the-line products, plush robes, and high-end personal care amenities.

Even more impressive than the rooms here is the smattering of onsite food options. In addition to the hotel’s varied offerings at the Eat Your Heart Out Food Hall, there are a ton of other restaurants/bars that exude chic and trendiness such as the Bel-Aire Lounge and the Wax Rabbit speakeasy.

Circa Las Vegas is a refreshing addition to the lively Downtown/Fremont Street area. It is the first new hotel built in this area in over 40 years, blending classic Vegas charm with modern amenities.

Circa offers 34 floors of contemporary rooms and luxurious suites, equipped with Alexa-enabled devices for in-room concierge services.

The hotel features a two-level casino filled with practically any slot machine or table game you can imagine, along with the world’s largest sportsbook, a three-story venue with a massive 78-megapixel screen.

The hotel’s entertainment is highlighted by the Legacy Club Rooftop Cocktails on the 60th floor, and the Stadium Swim pool amphitheater, which features six pools and a 40-foot-high screen for sports viewing.

Traveling as a family with kids? Sadly, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Circa is one of the rare hotel casinos in Las Vegas that limits its guests to adults 21 and older.

Palms Casino Resort

The Palms Casino Resort is a nice alternative to the craziness of staying directly on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s a gem hiding in plain sight on a side street off the Strip — existing as the perfect mix of good entertainment, good restaurants, and a hip/modern atmosphere.

Palms Las Vegas underwent a $690 million renovation recently, ushering in a new era of modern sophistication. While its cool factor dipped for a while, recent changes, including new restaurants and features, signal a massive resurgence.

The Palms’ lobby, evolving from a party scene to a sophisticated modern resort, welcomes guests with the stylish Rojo Lounge. All the rooms on the property are gorgeous, ranging from modern standard accommodations to opulent villas with glass-enclosed pools.

The Palms is also home to some of the best dining in Las Vegas. Truly! We were shocked when we entered the hotel and saw all the top-notch options hiding in plain sight here!

Some of the best options include the AYCE Buffet — the go-to place for unlimited lobster tails and crab legs (on certain nights only) — Tim Ho Wan, and more.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Curio Collection

Near Strip | Price Range: $$ – $$$

The Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is a true bang-for-your-buck hotel if you value a quiet 4-star hotel experience in Las Vegas. For luxe travelers who are still somewhat budget-minded, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Previously the Hard Rock Hotel, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas offers a unique and quieter Vegas experience while still capturing the city’s bright and buzzing essence. Plus, you gotta love the fact that parking is free here.

This trendy yet affordable resort, located just off the Strip, provides cute rooms with modern desert-inspired decor and upscale amenities — without the hefty price tag associated with nearby hotels like the Wynn, Venetian, or Cosmopolitan.

Guests can enjoy a variety of top-tier dining options, including Todd English’s Olives, the coastal haven that is Kassi Beach House, and the ever-popular Nobu.

The ENGLiSH Hotel

Las Vegas Arts District | Price Range: $$$

The ENGLiSH Hotel is a $30 million, four-story, 74-room boutique hotel located in downtown Las Vegas’ Arts District, which opened in February 2022. It is named after the renowned chef Todd English, a four-time James Beard Award winner, who is a partner in the venture.

Departing from the typical Las Vegas casino hotel experience, The ENGLiSH Hotel aims to attract a selective clientele with its adult-only policy (21+ only!) and pet-friendly accommodations.

The hotel offers a small, ultra-private pool and outdoor lounge, and prides itself on providing an elevated culinary experience powered by Todd English’s food and beverage program, along with Michelin-star-quality room service.

While the hotel is on the pricier side, at least they don’t charge a resort fee.

Red Rock Casino

Summerlin | Price Range: $$

Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is a favorite among locals and visitors seeking a serene retreat from the bustling Las Vegas Strip. Located in the Summerlin area west of the Las Vegas Strip, you’ll be treated to some truly unbeatable views of the Red Rock Conservation Area.

The resort boasts 800 elegantly designed rooms — each room exudes contemporary elegance with dark chocolate browns, neutral tones, and pops of color. Don’t feel like doing much? You can just lay in bed and enjoy those scenic views of the mountains from your room window.

The resort’s got everything you’d need to be comfortable, including a lively casino, a bingo room, diverse dining options (including our favorite NY-style pizza joint), a luxurious spa, and an expansive pool area.

M Resort Spa & Casino

Henderson | Price Range: $$

M Resort is a really great property that local guests often retreat to in order to relax, gamble, and escape the non-stop action of the Strip. You’ll find everything here, including an expansive spa, concerts, a casino, and more restaurants than you can count to choose from.

Nestled along St. Rose Parkway approximately 6 miles south of McCarran Airport, M Resort Spa and Casino quietly exists as a secret oasis away from the craziness of the Las Vegas Strip.

This resort is home to 390 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites ranging in size from 550 to 2,400 square feet, all of which are designed in an upscale, contemporary style. Expect spacious, modern rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase panoramic vistas and bathrooms with marble vanities.

Obviously, the location isn’t the best for tourists without a car, but if you are a regular or local, it’s got everything you would want out of a resort.

PRO TIP: The Strip is a good 15 to 20 minutes away by car, so if you plan to stay at The M, it’s best to rent one. Rideshare services that need to travel that distance each time will really add up!
