Location + Property
Situated right on Fremont Street, The Golden Nugget is super easy to find — just keep your eyes peeled for the hotel that’s bedazzled with endless lit-up lightbulbs. It’s impossible to miss.
Despite its large size, with over 2,000 rooms, the layout is user-friendly, making the casino, restaurants, bars, and shops easily accessible without the need for a property map. The hotel has a well-run, proper feel but is less overwhelming than some of the bigger hotels on the Strip.
The gold rush theme is a consistent and charming feature throughout the property.
Rooms
The Golden Nugget offers accommodations across three different towers: Carson, Rush, and Gold. Each tower provides various room categories, with the Gold Tower featuring the newest remodeled rooms as of 2014.
All rooms sport dark color schemes and modern furniture, but the Gold Tower rooms are notably snazzier. In the Gold and Rush towers, guests can enjoy premium bedding with pillow-topped mattresses and down comforters and pillows, ensuring a deep and restorative sleep.
However, room amenities are minimal, with no mini-fridge, though bottled water (included in the resort fee) and a Keurig coffee machine (available at an additional cost) are provided. Bathrooms are nothing special, either.
Restaurants /Bars
The Golden Nugget has a mix of casual and upcale eateries. For something fancier, opt for Vic & Anthony’s, Chart House, or Saltgrass Steakhouse.
Room service at the Golden Nugget is handled by the hotel’s Claim Jumper restaurant, which offers a comprehensive menu of standard American chain-restaurant fare. While it’s nothing to write home about, it’s a convenient option for late-night noshing.
The Golden Nugget also houses several other dining options and a total of seven bars, all of which are casual and allow you to come as you are.
Spa/Pools
The Tank and Hideout pool complex features a 200,000-gallon shark tank aquarium with 17 private cabanas over three separate floors. There’s even a waterslide running through it!
The Tank is great for all ages, while the Hideout is 21+.
There is both a spa and salon on the property.
