Las Vegas trips can be a blast, but they’re definitely not easy on the wallet. I mean, there are only so many free things to do in Las Vegas.
Between those pesky resort fees tacked onto your hotel room and the pricey food sold along the Strip, it can feel like your budget is being stretched wayyyy too thin.
But as this guide will show you—there are plenty of ways to score discounts on attractions and shows in Vegas, as long as you know where to look.
One of our favorite tricks? Using Go City Passes, which offer great deals not just in Vegas but in cities worldwide. Another go-to strategy is comparing prices between sites like VEGAS.com, StubHub, and Groupon against the direct websites to make sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck.
Discover the rest of our favorite ways to save big on Las Vegas attractions and shows.
Check Groupon
One of the easiest ways to find discounts on Las Vegas attractions and shows is to check Groupon. This site often has deals for popular activities, including shows, tours, and dining experiences.
You can snag discounts on popular restaurants, massages, spa days, and other fun things to do in town. It’s worth thoroughly browsing through their entire Vegas-specific section to find some off-the-beaten-path things to do in town, too!
Recently though, they’ve started adding Las Vegas attractions/shows on there that aren’t even discounted, so you’ll wanna be careful by looking for listings that have an “original price” crossed out.
Our rule of thumb is that if an activity is at least 15% off, the deal is likely worth it. Here are some of the best deals we’ve recently found:
- High Roller Observation Wheel at the LINQ
- The STRAT – Unlimited Ride Wristband + Tower Observation Deck
- Flyover Las Vegas – Single ride tickets are a good deal
- Number 1 Escape Room – Private escape room for up to 4 or 6 (their escape rooms are actually really fun!)
- ‘IT’ Escape Room The Sewers – General admission or Private VIP Admission
Military, senior, youth, Nevada resident, first responder discounts
If you fall into one of these special groups, you will love what Vegas has in store for you. Many attractions and shows in Las Vegas offer discounts for active military personnel, veterans, seniors, youths, Nevada locals, and first responders.
These discounts might not always be advertised, so don’t hesitate to ask at the ticket counters. When you’re booking online, take a look at all the different ticket types — for big attractions, there’s almost always more than one price.
Let me illustrate with some examples below:
- Neon Museum: For students, military, vets, Nevada residents, and seniors (65+), you’ll get $5 off the general admission ticket price.
- AREA15: Depending on the experience pass you get, local, kids, seniors, and military can save up to $50 off general admission pricing.
- Princess Diana & The Royals – The Exhibition: If you’re a Senior, Military, or Nevadan, you’ll receive $4 off your ticket.
These deals are everywhere — you just need to keep an eye out for them.

Check VEGAS.com for cheap show tickets
Before you buy full-priced show tickets directly from the hotel or through Ticketmaster, make sure to check VEGAS.com.
They’ll sometimes have cheaper tickets for the same shows you’ll find on direct websites.
We’ve found great deals on several occasions, with the most recent one being for the Awakening show at Wynn Las Vegas. Not only did we save $20 per ticket and got seats closer to the stage, but we also saved massively on pesky ticket fees.
Whenever I plan on snagging tickets to a show in Las Vegas, I always pop onto VEGAS.com to check prices. It’s worth a quick comparison to save some cash on your entertainment!
For last-minute deals, StubHub can be great
If you’ve decided last minute that you want to catch a show in town, StubHub can be a powerful tool for savings, but the keyword here is “last-minute”. Let me explain.
The best deals tend to be super last minute—if you search 1-2 weeks in advance, the tickets are usually more expensive than on other platforms. Even looking a few days before the show is often too soon for the best prices.
Sellers often post tickets at the last minute when they’re desperate to sell, so the day of is when you’ll find the biggest discounts.
Another tip is if you’re searching for just one ticket, you’ll almost always find cheaper options than if you’re looking for two seats together. If you’re okay with not sitting next to your friends, you’ll be able to score some really great ticket deals.
Check the hotels’ direct offer pages
Be sure to check the offers page of the hotel you’re staying at or planning to visit. These deals might not be the best out there and may even require you to stay at the hotel to take advantage of them, but you can find some solid discounts on shows, attractions, and dining.
I’ve linked the good ones below so you can check them out:
- Caesars Properties Shows/Attractions discounts – Includes deals on the High Roller, FlyLINQ, Absinthe, Mat Franco, Criss Angel, Colin Cloud, and much more.
- Awakening at Wynn – Direct discount offered by Wynn Las Vegas
Take a peek at our GVG Insiders page
This is our super-secret insiders page that houses all the discounts we’ve found across the web: hotels, shows, attractions, food + drink, and more.
It requires a password to enter, which you’ll get for free if you get on our email list.
Play myVEGAS games for show discounts and comped rooms
This one does take some pre-planning and effort on your part, but if you like playing mobile games, you can score discounts on shows, and even get comped rooms in Vegas is by playing myVEGAS games.
These free mobile (and Facebook) games let you earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, like discounted show tickets, BOGO buffets, and free hotel stays.
Our favorite redemption are the 1 and 2-night comped rooms (Park MGM, ARIA, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, MGM), BOGO buffets (at the Bellagio, Excalibur, etc.), buy-one-get-one 50% KÀ By Cirque du Soleil tickets.
In terms of shows/attractions that you can redeem points for, you can find things like:
- BOGO Free Nighttime Admission to the Neon Museum
- BOGO 50% off KÀ By Cirque du Soleil tickets
- Comped Mavericks helicopter night flights
- Unlimited LV Monorail passes
- 20-40% Big Bus Tours
- 75 Free Game Credits at Play Playground
- Comped GA Daytime Admission at Illuminarium (AREA15)
- … and more!
Pick up a coupon book when you’re walking the Strip
As you stroll along the Las Vegas Strip, keep an eye out for coupon books in newspaper boxes along the Strip, at the airport, or at the hotel lobbies. These little booklets can be packed with discounts for attractions, dining, and shows, offering you savings on the go.
It’s a simple way to cut costs while enjoying everything the Strip has to offer. At the very least, it’s a nice little toilet read.
Comparing Ticket Prices: A Real-Life Example!
Discounts on attractions are easier to find and very straightforward. You’ll find a marked-down ticket price, and often the price you see is the price you pay. Sometimes there’s a small tax that’s charged on top, sometimes not.
Discounts on shows, on the other hand, can be misleading and way more complex. Why? Because of those annoying junk fees that get tacked on at the last minute.
These fees can include anything from service charges to venue fees to taxes, and they can significantly inflate the price of your tickets beyond what was initially advertised. So, even when you think you’ve scored a great deal, these hidden costs can make your final total much higher than expected.
I want to show you a real-life example of how you should compare show ticket prices when you’re hunting for the cheapest price possible.
It’s not enough to go off of the advertised price! Every website’s junk fees differ, and these fees are usually displayed on the final payment page after you’ve entered in all your important information (email address, address, phone).
PRO TIP: I hate getting emails I never wanted in the first place. To avoid giving my email address out JUST to see the final price of the tickets, I’ll usually put in bogus info so I can get to the payment page to see the final total. You can do the same if you want to avoid handing out your email all willy-nilly, but just be sure to change it back to your real information if you plan to buy from them.
Ok let’s get back to our real-life example here: let’s say we’re looking for last-minute Cirque du Soleil KA tickets.
- Step 1: Go to each of the sites I provided to you above, choosing the same show (date + time) on each site.
- Step 2: For each of them, put in your info (real or bogus, it’s up to you) so you can get to the final payment pages
- Step 3: Compare the final ticket prices — after all fees and taxes show up
- Step 4: Purchase the cheapest one!
Let’s see what the ticket prices look like for Cirque du Soleil KA (1 ticket):
VEGAS.COM – $112.12
(Unlike sites like Ticketmaster, the ‘Order Processing’ fee on VEGAS.com is a fixed fee that doesn’t seem to multiply depending on how many tickets you buy, which is great! So no matter if you buy 1 ticket or 8 tickets, it’ll stay $9.95. This leads me to believe that VEGAS.com is a great option if you plan on buying multiple tickets, and maybe not the best if you plan on just buying a single ticket.)
Cirque du Soleil / MGM Direct Site: $106.06
Stubhub – $89
(This search was done on the day of the show to illustrate the last-minute deal potential of Stubhub! Tickets are usually cheapest for 1 ticket — prices do increase if you search for 2+ tickets with seats next to each other.)
Groupon – $102.79
(They had no ticket availability on the 24th, so I included a snippet of ticket prices for the 25th instead)
Do you see how all the sites show such different service fees? And how the advertised price is so much lower than what you’ll actually pay after all the fees?
So in the example above after comparing all the final ticket prices, I’d grab tickets from StubHub or Groupon.
Yes, this is what I actually do when comparing show ticket prices. It’s tedious, but it’ll get you the best price out there!
NOTE: The example above is just one show for one specific date. Stubhub and Groupon are not always going to have the best deals out there. There have been many times when VEGAS.com came out to be the cheapest option and Stubhub was the priciest option (like when I bought tickets to Awakening for me and my parents back in June).
Prices depend on a bunch of different factors like how ticket sales are doing, the date/time of the show, and if there are any promotions going on. You’ll have to compare ticket prices for each show individually to get the best deal.
We hope this visual example was helpful to you! Now go out and hunt for those deals.
