Looking for tasty bites in Downtown Las Vegas that won’t break the bank?

We’ve rounded up a handful of cheap places to eat in downtown where you can score delicious meals for well under $20 per dish, with some spots even serving up fast-casual delights for just $5-10.

Whether you’re craving a slice of NY-style pizza, some island-inspired flavors, or even a juicy slab of prime rib, this list has got you covered.

Keep an eye out for our personal favorites like Good Pie, Aloha Specialties, and Pacific Island Taste—these spots are the must-tries we recommend if you want great comfort food without the hefty price tag.

Aloha Specialties at The California

Aloha Bento at Aloha Specialties

If you’re craving a taste of the islands without breaking the bank, Aloha Specialties in downtown Las Vegas is the perfect spot for you.

Nestled on the mezzanine level of The Cal, this affordable eatery offers a range of Hawaiian and rice dishes that won’t disappoint. While prices have seen a slight increase due to inflation, the majority of the menu remains reasonable, with most items priced under $20—making it a great value for the generous portions served.

For breakfast, you can’t go wrong with the Aloha Breakfast, featuring a hearty combination of spam, Portuguese sausage, Vienna sausage, and a generous helping of rice.

At lunchtime/dinnertime, the Aloha Bento is a must-try, along with the spicy Korean chicken served with creamy mac salad that perfectly complements the Vegas heat. You can also opt for teriyaki plates, loco moco, rice bowls, noodle dishes, stews and curry specialties.

If you’re a rice lover, this spot is a total paradise, but be warned—a meal here might just send you into a satisfying food coma.

Heart Attack Grill

Heart Attack Grill Las Vegas

Heart Attack Grill is one of the weirdest restaurants in Las Vegas. This hospital-themed restaurant in downtown Las Vegas has become internationally famous for embracing and promoting an unhealthy diet of incredibly large, multi-patty hamburgers.

Customers are referred to as “patients”, orders as “prescriptions”, and waitresses as “nurses”. Anyone who weighs over 350 pounds is invited to enjoy unlimited free food provided they weigh themselves on an electronic cattle scale in front of a cheering restaurant crowd.

When you dine there, they’ll go as far as to dress you up in a hospital gown! If you don’t finish your plate a “nurse” will come over with a paddle and humiliate you by announcing you couldn’t finish to everyone. You’ll even get spanked for not finishing… like I said — it’s a strange place that you won’t find anywhere else!

Siegel’s 1941 at El Cortez

For a relaxed and affordable sit-down restaurant specializing in American favorites, there’s Siegel’s 1941 at El Cortez.

This casual restaurant serves up a menu filled with skillfully-prepared classic dishes, with most items priced between $20 and $25 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

One of the standout features of Siegel’s 1941 is their nightly Prime Rib special, where you can indulge in a beautifully cooked prime rib for just $19.95—a fantastic deal after a day of gaming!

If you’re over 50, you’re in for an extra treat on Wednesdays. All day, guests in this age group can enjoy 50% off their order from a special menu, proving that age brings wisdom—and wisdom is even better with a side of fries!

With its old-school cool vibe and welcoming atmosphere, Siegel’s 1941 invites you to come as you are—no dressing up required.

Flippin’ Good Chicken, Burgers, Beer

You’re downtown. You’re feeling peckish for chicken strips… or perhaps a chicken sandwich. There is only one spot that should be on the tip of your tongue: Flippin’ Good.

This super affordable eatery is the only place you should consider for your chicken cravings, and with prices that make every bite even more satisfying, you’ll be coming back for more.

Flippin’ Good is known for its excellent chicken and burgers, but their chicken sandwiches are truly the star of the show. You simply can’t miss the Dirty Bird Sandwich or the OG Chicken Sandwich—each one boasts a crispy and crunchy exterior while remaining moist and tender on the inside.

For those who enjoy a bit of heat, start with the Medium spice level. It delivers a solid kick without overwhelming your taste buds.

American Coney Island

American Coney Island

For a budget-friendly fast-casual meal in downtown Las Vegas, look no further than American Coney Island, “Detroit’s Original Coney.” The nostalgic vibe of the foods here will transport you back to childhood fairs and carnival foods!

Located right next to The D Casino on Fremont Street, this is your spot for no-frills chili dogs and chili fries for cheap. Honestly, it’s probably one of the best value meals in Downtown Las Vegas if you’re looking for something cheap and fast.

Family-owned and operated since 1917, this iconic eatery is renowned for its specially-seasoned hot dogs sourced from Dearborn Sausage, paired with a secret family recipe for Coney Island chili sauce that has been perfected over decades.

Topped with fine mustard and sweet chopped onions, these hot dogs deliver a distinctive flavor (and an oddly satisfying hotdog snap) that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more.

Plus, with a menu that includes burgers, Greek salads, and gyros, there’s something even for people who don’t like hotdogs. Bonus points for being open 24 hours, making it an ideal late-night stop for all your cravings!

Dirt Dog Las Vegas

DirtDog Las Vegas

Get ready to experience hot dogs like never before at DirtDog, where the hype is absolutely real! Known for serving some of the most creative and mouthwatering hot dogs you’ll ever have, DirtDog takes this classic street food to a whole new level.

While the prices may be nearly double those at American Coney Island, trust us—the unique flavor combinations and massive portions make every bite worth the extra money. Don’t expect plain Costco hot dogs — their hot dogs are massive, so big you might need a fork to tackle them.

Fun creations include the D.U.I. Dog (100% Premium All Beef Nathan’s Dog wrapped in center-cut bacon and topped with pastrami, carne asada, cheddar, chipotle aioli, cilantro, and bacon bits) and Snoop’s Dogg (bacon-wrapped beef dog drizzled with curtido, Henny-Q BBQ, billionaire bacon, and gin & juice ketchup).

All of the hot dogs are served in a buttery lobster roll bun, elevating the entire experience and adding a touch of flair that you won’t find anywhere else.

With most menu items priced under $13, they a pretty good deal considering most sit-down places will set you back $25 per person or more.

Good Pie

Founded by lifelong pizzaiolo Vincent Rotolo in 2018, Good Pie has transformed from a cozy spot in Pawn Plaza to a thriving sit-down restaurant and bar in the heart of the Arts District. Winner of several Best Pizza in Las Vegas awards, Good Pie does the grandma style pizza like no other pizzeria.

Indulge in the giant, foldable triangles of Brooklyn-style pizza (my personal favorite), or explore three unique square pies: the thin and chewy Grandma, the perfectly balanced Sicilian, and the densely springy Detroit with its irresistible caramelized cheese crust.

They also accommodate people with special diets! They’ve got an award-winning gluten-free Detroit pizza, along with a variety of vegan and vegetarian options.

Beyond pizza, Good Pie offers a selection of appetizers, fresh salads, and decadent desserts, including classic cannoli and New York cheesecake. Pair your meal with a craft cocktail, local craft beer, or a fine Italian wine from their full bar.

PRO TIP: Their new Happy Hour (4 to 6 PM) is awesome — 2 for 1 pizza slices and 1/2 off beers if you’re sitting at the bar.

Evel Pie

Evel Pie Downtown Las Vegas

Evel Pie is an old-school pizzeria that pays homage to legendary daredevil Evel Knievel, serving up classic New York-style pizza that’s as bold as its namesake.

Forget the fancy toppings; here, it’s all about the essentials—gooey cheese, savory pepperoni, and a variety of traditional toppings that will transport you back to a simpler time.

Don’t miss out on their daily specials, like Evel Knievel’s Super Kick Ass Combination (pepperoni, sausage, ham, mushrooms, red onions & roasted red peppers) or The Reaper (hot willy sauce, reaper sauce, chili flake marinated mozzarella, sriracha marinated chorizo, and habaneros…served on fire!).

The latter is so scorching hot that you’ll need to sign a medical waiver to eat it.

Because of how good the pizza is, this place gets busy during the main meal hours. Despite being busy, the service is awesome.

Pizza Rock

Pizza Rock Las Vegas

If artisanal whole pies are what you’re after, head to Pizza Rock.

Taking pizza to the next level, Pizza Rock was born from the creative minds of three best friends: George Karpaty, Tony Gemignani, and Trevor Hewitt. Combining George and Trevor’s nightlife expertise (Ruby Skye in SF) with Tony’s pizza-making expertise (13-time World Pizza Champion, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in SF), Pizza Rock is pizza artisan meets nightlife energy.

Needless to say, this is not your traditional pizzeria.

Pizza Rock features gourmet pizzas in a variety of styles, rotating drafts, craft cocktails, and over 60 bottled and canned beer — all served up in an artistic and energetic atmosphere.

Additionally, a selection of pastas, calzones, Stromboli, meatball subs, antipasti, and salads are offered. All fresh pasta is made on-premises, as is the Sicilian and Calabrese link and bulk sausages.

They’re always hosting special Sunday brunches (Football Sunday, Live Acoustic Brunch, Mothers/Fathers Day, etc) with specialty breakfast pizzas so be sure to stop in to try these inventive creations if your trip dates fall on a weekend.

PRO TIP: If you’re in town during the weekdays, don’t miss their great happy hour specials, available M-F at 3-6pm.

White Castle

White Castle Las Vegas

In 1921, White Castle introduced the world to The Original Slider. After 100 years and over a few billion sold, this steam-grilled 2×2-inch 100% Beef patty has been named the world’s most iconic burger.

While it might not claim the title of the best burger you’ll ever have, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to check off their Vegas bucket list. Known for its crave-worthy sliders, these 2-4 bite burgers are perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings without breaking the bank.

Each slider is priced at just $2, but they get slightly cheaper if you opt for one of their Castle Combos or order a larger number of sliders.

Open 24/7, White Castle is a dependable destination for a quick bite after a night of fun on the Strip (or any time of the day, really!).

BONUS: Pacific Island Taste

Pacific Island Taste Las Vegas

While Pacific Island Taste is not quite in downtown proper, it’s 100% worth mentioning. It’s an absolute gem that not many people know about, so keep it hush-hush. 😉

With most dishes priced under $15, this spot offers incredible value without compromising on quality. The specialty here is their fresh poke, which tastes straight from Hawaii.

Led by former chef Juan ‘Joe Jo’ Evasco, who brings over 30 years of culinary experience and a deep love for Hawaiian cuisine, Pacific Island Taste embodies the aloha spirit in every dish.

You’ll find a delightful array of specialties, including Pork Hash, Spicy Ahi Nachos, and the unique Meat Jun, which is a rare find in Las Vegas. Don’t miss their Oxtail Soup, another favorite that showcases the depth of flavor in Hawaiian cooking.

For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert selection is equally tempting, featuring Taro Turnovers, Malasadas, Custard Long Johns, and Butter Mochi.

Their dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed — in 2021, PIT was voted the Best of Las Vegas for #1 Poke Bowl, and in 2024, they were recognized as one of the Top 100 Restaurants in Las Vegas by Review Journal Magazine.
