If you’re on the hunt for bars on the Las Vegas Strip that won’t leave you broke by the end of the night… it’ll be hard to do. I mean, just pick any hotel on the Strip. Now look at the price. Chances are, they’re astronomical.
When it comes to cheap bars on the Strip, we’ll be honest. You won’t have too much to choose from, but the ones that DO exist are gems in their own right!
We’ve done a ton of research (and garnered a lot of word-of-mouth spots from our UNLV friends) to bring you this list of the best budget-friendly and cheap bars on the Las Vegas Strip that don’t suck! Yes, these ones actually make good drinks, not watered-down ones!
Before we dive into the list, we’ll let you in on a secret: Las Vegas restaurants and bars take their Happy Hours seriously. Visiting a restaurant/bar during their happy hours is a great way to snag some really great deals on drinks! We’ve included a few fantastic happy hours below for you too.
Note: As businesses change how they operate from time to time, be sure to check their individual websites for the latest specials and operating hours.
Casino Royale
Best Western Plus Casino Royale is probably going to be your best bet for cheap drinks on the Strip. You’ll find their iconic drink specials at the casino bar — and they’re easily the best priced drinks on The Strip! For example, you can get a 12oz beer for only $3!
For almost two decades, Casino Royale was offering bottled beer for just $1 any time of the day. Unfortunately, this price has since risen —it’s now $3, which is still a steal!
In terms of the cocktail drinks, expect a heavy pour here. It’s quite literally the opposite of watered down.
Before or after getting your drinks in, stop in to one of the only White Castles in the West for a world-famous slider or have yourself a thick juicy steak at the Outback Steakhouse.
They also have a Fat Tuesday here, the absolute best spot to grab yourself a cheap frozen drink right before taking a stroll on the Las Vegas Strip. If you want to feel a bit more than tipsy, they offer you the option to add a shot(s) to your daiquiris for an extra dollar a shot. Cheap drunkenness, gotta love it!
Location: Best Western Plus Casino Royale (3411 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109)
Fat Tuesday
Fat Tuesdays are a must when it comes to having yourself a successful Las Vegas trip. These oversized frozen drinks are loved for their flamboyant size, crazy colors, and the ability to get you drunk while cooling you down on a hot day.
When the weather gets warm, you’re most definitely going to see Fat Tuesdays in everyone’s hands while walking down the Las Vegas Strip. It’s easy to see why — it’s the absolute best spot to grab yourself a cheap frozen drink!
If you want to feel a bit more than tipsy, they offer you the option to add a shot(s) to your daiquiris for an extra dollar a shot. Cheap drunkenness, gotta love it!
Everyone’s drink of choice at Fat Tuesday differs depending on who you ask, but our group loves to order the Big Stick flavor off their secret menu, which tastes like a Big Stick ice pop but with alcohol!
You can find Fat Tuesdays in multiple hotels such as The Venetian, Casino Royale, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, The LINQ, etc.

Ocean One Bar & Grille
Ocean One Bar & Grille at Miracle Mile Shops (Planet Hollywood) stands out as a go-to spot for those seeking affordable drinks and wallet-friendly specials. This spot is a game-changer, especially if you’re on the lookout for a budget-friendly watering hole that won’t break the bank.
Let’s talk about the star of the show – the famous 3-for-1 all-day happy hour specials.
Let me repeat that for all of you who didn’t fully digest that. You get 3 cocktails for the price of 1. Cocktails are just $12, meaning each drink backs out to $4!
Since the food isn’t the best here, I’d recommend just getting a light snack here (if you must) and saving your appetite for elsewhere.

Blondies Sports Bar and Grill
Blondies Sports Bar and Grill is a sports bar on the Strip that features an incredible deal on drinks. Their Happy Hour is the stuff of legends. If you’re in the mood for an all-you-can-drink kind of afternoon, Blondies has your back with an offer that’s almost too good to be true.
Their Happy Hour takes place from 3 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, where you can indulge in all-you-can-drink wells and domestic drafts for a mere $20. Yes, you read that right – twenty bucks for endless wells and drafts.
Think about it – you can spend the same amount as you would on ONE fancy cocktail at a swanky Las Vegas bar but, instead, you get to enjoy three hours of as many drinks as your belly desires!
And if you’re into sports (hockey, basketball, or football), this is the perfect spot to catch the next big game while sipping on your unlimited wells and drafts.

Ellis Island Casino and Brewery
We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again… Ellis Island is known for its amazing food and drink deals.
For the drink specials, you’ll want to head to The Front Yard inside Ellis Island.
First off, their beers are brewed onsite, so you’re going to be getting fresh beer from the source! They’re super cheap too, starting at $3-4 for a beer. On Wednesday nights, they offer 50% off wine bottles as part of their Wine Wednesday special.
A lot of people come for the cheap drinks/food and stay for the fun karaoke nights too!
Keep an eye out for the food and drink promos on their website. There’s always something you can take advantage of! For example, at the time of writing, they are offering one free Ellis Island Beer to all U.S. Active-Duty and Veterans.

Other Places To Find Cheap Bars: Downtown Las Vegas
Downtown Las Vegas, while not quite part of the Strip, is situated only a few miles north of the Strip. The area is anchored by the Fremont Street Experience, featuring historic casinos, hotels, bars, and attractions.
This area is where the locals go for cheap drinks (lots of BOGO deals all night long), cheap dining, cheap(er) gambling, and casual nights out! People who stick to just the Strip would never know such deals existed in Las Vegas!
A few of fun and affordable spots in downtown include:
El Cortez
El Cortez on Fremont Street is like a haven for cheap drink specials. We’ve gone to El Cortez when they were running late-night B1G1 free drinks. Such good times! You can choose from the following:
The Parlour Bar & Lounge – Happy hour is daily from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. $4 Bud Light Draft, $5 Modelo Draft, New Amsterdam Gin, Bacardi Rum, Jim Beam Bourbon. $6 Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, 1800 Tequila.
Ike’s – Ike’s is El Cortez’s newest lounge, offering lounge seating and a sports-viewing area replete with 10 televisions. Happy Hour is daily from 11 pm – 1 am: $4 Bud and Bud Light Draft, $5 Modelo Draft Beer, New Amsterdam Gin, Bacardi Rum, Jim Beam Bourbon, and $6 Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, 1800 Tequila.
Location: Downtown Las Vegas (600 Fremont St Las Vegas, NV 89101)
Raised By Wolves
Raised by Wolves is one of the newer spots aiming to redefine the downtown Las Vegas experience. They bring the heat every Thursday through Sunday with great music and their legendary $30 Open Bar party.
Their bartenders are the maestros behind the bar, ready to whip up a storm of dope cocktails and pour top-shelf liquors. Ice-cold craft beers? They’ve got those too!
Craving something a bit more bougie? No problem at Raised by Wolves. For just a $45, you can upgrade into the world of premium liquor and add that extra kick to elevate your experience. Because why settle for ordinary when you can have extraordinary?
Again, that’s $30 for all you can drink basic alcohols or $45 for all you can drink premium alcohols!
Location: Downtown Las Vegas on the 2nd floor of Neonopolis (450 Fremont St Fl 2, Ste 251 Las Vegas, NV 89101)
Downtown Grand
Countering the perception that Las Vegas is losing its image as a value destination, Downtown Grand is touting several opportunities for guests to get a good deal.
The deal that’ll pique your interest the most is their hotdog special! That is, you’ll get a Nathan’s Famous hot dog and a draft Pabst Blue Ribbon for $2.
I’ll admit this one’s not entirely considered a ‘bar’ perse, but it is a really cheap spot to snag a hotdog and a beer! The hot dog and beer special is a throwback to a Strip property that once offered a half-pound, 99-cent hot dog, and we are so in support of that.
The cart is open from 11am to 6pm.
Address: 206 N 3rd St, Las Vegas, NV 89101
Downtown Cocktail Room
Downtown Cocktail Room is an intimate cocktail room and speakeasy in DTLV that is equal parts loungy, upscale cocktail vibe, and clandestine, low-brow New York City vibes.
While you’re not going to find $3 beers here, Downtown Cocktail Room is a great place to go if you’re feeling like drinking something more swanky.
They have one of the best happy hours for cocktail drinks. Happy hour is from 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Enjoy half-off well and call spirits, beer, punch bowls, and wine. Seasonal and classic cocktails are available for $10.
Address: 111 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89101
Other Ways To Get Cheap Drinks On The Las Vegas Strip
Play games on the casino floor
While it’s important to gamble responsibly, many casinos offer free drinks to players who are sitting there playing slots, table games, etc.
A hostess may come up to you and ask if you’d like anything to drink. Most of the time, the drinks are on the house.
Make sure to check with the casino about their drink policies for players. Some may charge, while others will bring them to you free of charge (but do remember to tip).
Make your own drinks in your room
Go to your nearest ABC Store, Walgreens, or CVS to buy wine, beer, and hard alcohol, as well as any chasers or mixers you’d want to make drinks in your room.
Whenever we’re visiting Vegas with large groups, we hardly ever go to bars — we just drink in the rooms together! This will save you a fat chunk of change.
Look for happy hour specials
Many bars offer discounted drinks during specific hours, usually in the late afternoon or early evening. Here are some examples of happy hours offered at restaurants on the Strip:
Canaletto (The Venetian): Happy Hour is every day from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm with $10 appetizers, $7 wine, and $8 cocktail drinks.
Sugarcane Raw Bar and Grill (The Venetian): Happy Hour is Sunday through Thursday 3pm – 6pm | 10pm to close. $7 beers, $8 cocktails and wine.
High Roller Observation Wheel (The Linq): Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to midnight | Friday through Sunday from noon to midnight. You get an open bar during the full 30-minute rotation of the observation wheel for ~$62!
One really fun Happy Hour that’s slightly off-Strip is Golden Tiki, where you can get certain tiki drinks for just $8.
Join a loyalty program or look for casino coupons
Joining a casino’s loyalty program can sometimes earn you complimentary drinks or discounted prices. Keep an eye out for coupons or promotions provided through these programs.
You can also join programs like myVEGAS, which partners with MGM Resorts to bring you real-life rewards such as comped rooms, food coupons, drink coupons, and more.
